Small Miracles Theraputic Equestrian Center, Inc.
For a number of years, The Palmer Center Foundation has provided funding for some programs at Small Miracles Theraputic Equestrian Center, Inc. Small Miracles describes itself as a nonprofit corporation founded through love to enhance the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of individuals with special needs through equine-assisted activities. Small Miracles has also developed equine-assisted programs that supplement their therapeutic riding program. This organization always continues to enhance and develop programs as the needs of our community grow and change.
The Palmer Center Foundation provides funding for speech/language pathologists
The Palmer Center Foundation awards grants that allow practitioners in the field of special education to attend national conferences in order to enhance their professional skills. Last year, The Palmer Center Foundation provided funding for several speech/language pathologists from local school systems to attend the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s schools convention in Kansas City, Missouri. The mission of ASHA is “making effective communication a human right, accessible and achievable for all.” Techniques and best practices acquired by our local educators are already in practice, benefiting students in the Tri-City area.
