Types of Grants
The Palmer Center Foundation awards grants that fall generally into two categories. Applicants should download and print the grant application, complete it manually and mail it to:

1. Grants to individuals with disabilities and grants to individuals or organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.

Partial Listing of Past Grant Awards
By approving grant requests, PCF has
- Provided financial support for The Student Scholarship Program at Small Miracles Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center, Inc (2003-present)
- Financed construction of The Palmer Center Foundation Amphitheater at ‘Darrell’s Dream’ Tri-Cities TN/VA Boundless Playground
- Provided funds for four public school Speech/Language Pathologists (Scott County Schools and Kingsport City Schools) to attend the American Speech Hearing and Language Conference in Kansas City
- Financially supported a music therapy program for day care program participants and residents of People Place, a program of Arc of Sullivan County
- Purchased a 3-wheel bicycle with toe straps for a child with special needs
- Provided funding for two Scott County teachers to attend the Council for Exceptional Children Conference in New Orleans
- Contributed to start-up funding of ‘Darrell’s Dream’ Tri-Cities TN/VA Boundless Playground Project
- Funded the purchase of equipment needed by the Greater Kingsport Family YMCA to start a program for children with disabilities and their siblings
- Provided funds for general support of the Tennessee Infant Parent (TIP) Program, a statewide, home-based program for families of infants and toddlers with developmental delays, hearing loss, and vision loss
- Provided funds to support children with disabilities served by the Family Resource Center, Kingsport City Schools
- Provided funds to support Arc of Sullivan County in their mission to support parents and relative of persons with special needs
Who May Apply
Any individual or organization meeting the criteria described under the subheading, types of grants, and whose purpose falls within the parameters of the Palmer Center Foundation’s mission statement may apply for a grant.
